sushi cure

At lunch I was craving Tuna and I got a sandwich from Quizno's but it just didn't taste very good and I barely ate it.

So I asked Kirk to bring Sushi home for dinner. He brought home some stuff from Moto. I ate it and within an hour I felt so much better. My fever went away - it was almost a miracle cure.

Of course now, like 3 or 4 hours later, I feel crappy again.

Do you suppose I might have accidentally stumbled upon a cure for the flu? Could it be raw fish? Or maybe the Wasabi?

All I know is I wish I had more sushi right now.

Not that I'm hungry. But I'd like to feel better again.

I don't think I have ever been inclined to ask for sushi when I had the flu. Come to think of it, I don't think I have ever been inclined to ask for sushi. I think I'd rather have the flu.

You know, a couple of years ago I would have said the same thing. I thought I would hate sushi so I never tried it. Perhaps we need to go to lunch at Moto sometime and you can give it a try and see if you really hate it or not. Does David eat sushi? (he went on his mission to Japan didn't he?).

I've never tried sushi when I was sick, but I always feel better after eating it! I have never tried Moto...I'll have to check it out! Jared introduced me to sushi when we were dating and I have been hooked ever since.

Moto is really good. It's right there on 16th Street and Glendale. Their menu is really clever and funny too and they have these things called 'mojos' which look like Sushi but are actually ice cream rolled up inside rice crispies. Awesome. I love their Philadelphia Rolls, Caterpillar rolls, & Las Vegas Rolls the most, but I'ver never had any that weren't good. Lately, I want to go there all the time.

You know, so many people LOVE sushi that I know, but I've tried it at least 3 or 4 times that I know of and I don't get it. I really have a bit of an issue with raw fish, but I just don't care for it. Same thing with raw oysters. I read a book "The Joy of Eating" that raphsodized about raw oysters. I tried them and could take a pass on them too. Oh well. I'm ok with rare beef and carpaccio though. Hope you are feeling better now Lezlee!

Raw Cookie dough. Now that's what I like to eat raw!
