Remember a while back I was trying to decide what to do with that couch in the front room? After much deliberation I decided to go the route of that patchwork look - I spent some time picking the fabric and then got Dale Cheshier to do the actual work. I LOVE the way they turned out!
Now we're on the backyard project. This is how my backyard looked a couple of weeks ago:
And this is what it looks like right now:
YIKES! I hope this is all worth it in the end. It's costing a lot of money and as of this moment I am feeling a little sick about it!

I hope that is a before and "during" picture and not a before and after. I'm excited to see the end result. I know you've been talking about this project for a long time. My brother and his family did up their yard, outdoor kitchen and all. They LOVE it! Well, we ALL love it! It gets used a lot.
So what exactly are you doing to your back yard? I know the feeling of starting a big project and then feeling sick when everything is ripped out. I am currently living in a house with walls in my family room that are not insulated or sheet rocked!
Love the couch. Can't you get a pic of the whole thing in one shot?
Well...it's before and during, but right now it feels like a reverse "before" and "after" which is not a very good feeling!
I so relate Heidi. I hate to tell you but with your new home ownership, you will probably feel this way A LOT in the next few years. It's always something! Where is the house you guys ended up buying? I never did hear. Are you in the ward? I was thinking that you aren't in the ward, but I don't actually know that - it would be totally cool if you were!
Ms. Calizona where have you been? I feel as though we haven't talked in ages and ages! My oldest somehow ended up with my normal camera lens with him at school (not sure if it was truly an accident or an "accident") but at any rate, I only have a very long angle or wide angle lens to work with until he gets back next month so my indoor photo taking ability is extremely hampered.
yeah I LOVE the waythe couch turned out mom !
The house actually is in the ward. I had a hard time committing to something outside the N. Central Phoenix area. Glad we waited because I do really like where we are.
That's so cool that you found something in the ward Heidi. I love when that happens. I think you'll end up being very happy in a Central Phoenix home!
oh - I love your couch too. Can't wait to see that too.
