A Silly Quiz

This isn't very scientific but it's the short version of an often used well known personality test.

Interestingly, I don't think our personalities are completely static. At various time in my life I've been an INFJ, and a INFP depending on my current mood.

Take the test for fun and see what you are [these things are also what that whole 'gold, blue, orange, green' personality thing is too - there are 16 personality types, for the purposes of gold blue orange green they break them down into just 4 - but when you think about it and rank the colors in an order (I'm usually Blue/Orange/Green/Gold) there are really a lot of possible combinations.]

I'm curious what some of my friends are so leave a comment and let me know (that's the budding shrink in me)

You Are An INFP

The Idealist

You are creative with a great imagination, living in your own inner world.

Open minded and accepting, you strive for harmony in your important relationships.

It takes a long time for people to get to know you. You are hesitant to let people get close.

But once you care for someone, you do everything you can to help them grow and develop.

In love, you tend to have high (and often unrealistic) standards.

You are very sensitive. You tend to have intense feelings.

At work, you need to do something that expresses your personal values.

You would make an excellent writer, psychologist, or artist.

How you see yourself: Unselfish, empathetic, and spiritual

When other people don't get you, they see you as: Unrealistic, naive, and weak

I've done this before and I am still an ENFJ. I am surprized you are an I Lezlee! I have found Meyers Briggs to be pretty accurate.

What the INFJ? The "Protector"? That's me? hmmm. I don't know.

I find taking tests like this frustrating; I'm like Shannon because I say, "it depends!" which response would be mine in a given situation. How does this quiz method have any credibility, anyway?

To Heidi - I can't read your blog anymore heidi since you made it private. Can I be invited? What's the inspirer? Like which letters?

Hey anonymous, I'd like to go to Greece someday...

Susan - very interesting, I've looked at your blog from time to time but I don't know if I've made a comment there, so if I didn't 'hi'.

Suzanne - I know, it's weird, but I'm naturally an introvert. Which is why people think I'm stuck up sometimes. I'm not stuck up but if I don't concentrate on being friendly to people I come across as aloof, when reallly it's just that I enjoy staying in the background and observing. Meyers Briggs is a pretty accurate test. Though I've found that there are a few personality types who do not take any stock in that type of thing at all. My husband being one of them. I still think they are a useful tool, though clearly there is room for a lot of individual variation among people who are the same type.

Cindi - the little quiz is a shortened version of much longer test and really, doesn't hold a lot of scientific weight, it's too small of a sample size of questions. BUT...the actual Meyers Briggs is a good indication of general personality traits. It's a useful test for a multitude of diagnostic issues. A lot of time with the longer test a pattern begins to emerge where the 'it depends' type of answer becomes less relevant to the over-all result. There's always individual variation, which is why I'm sometimes an INFJ and Sometimes a INFP.
