When I was a kid the one thing I loved more than anything in the world was dancing. I took ballet and then tap and jazz. Ultimately, I liked jazz the most. Later I did more drill team-type routines, which were loosely based on jazz routines but a bit more about precision. I never was disciplined enough to become a really good dancer though. And frankly, I don't think my mom was willing to put in the kind of time it requires - because honestly, without a lot of time driving a kid all around to the best dance instructors, you never get really good. When I was in college, I desperately wished I was good enough to join the modern dance troupe at the college level.
But I knew I was not quite up to par for that. Lately, it's been really fun to watch Jordan loving dance class as well. We started her out in Ballet and tap when she was young but this year she started Hip Hop and she's found a new love. I have to admit, I'm a little jealous. I wish hip hop were around when I was young! But for now, I'm content to just watch her. Sometimes while I am sitting and waiting for Jordan at dance class I never even crack open my book - because watching dance, even little kids just learning how to dance, is always really entertaining.

Wow Lezlee--you were a great ballet dancer! ;)
Really wanted to make it to Kirk's show--thanks for the invite.
I agree about dancing being so fun...I also did ballet, tap, and jazz growing up. Actually--Jared is an awesome dancer. In college he would throw big parties. His friend was a d.j. and he and another brown friend were great dancers. We would all dance, but they kept it going. They were the best parties and great memories. Our "parties" now consist of Jared and I turning on the music and dancing with Marley--she's got moves! ;)
I have 3 girls who can bust a killer move! When Robin came home from her mission to Brazil, one of her first public events to be re-integrated into civilian life was one of the Hatch girl's wedding receptions at the Biltmore (was that Marci?) Anyway, they had dancing on the patio and when a Latin beat came on, there she was doing a sizzling salsa (is it spelled the same as with chips? I forget...) and when the song was done, one of the "old hens" of the Stake was clucking away and I could her her grumble, "That didn't look like a missionary to ME..."
Ha ha good times.
I don't know why Lezlee, but I'm not getting your dancing or moment of zen photos. Boo hoo. I do have your other ones.
I always wished I could dance. Always wanted lessons when I was a kid, but never had them. I did get horse back riding lessons though and I loved those.
The second video you posted is amazing. (the group formation one) Who could find so many people the same height and body type that can all kick at the same height and all do perfect splitz? Maybe it was like the oompa-loompa's in the last version of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I like to watch dance. But unfortunately for Dave, I hate to dance. Hope Jordan enjoys it for years to come.
